Description

PACU RN

Location

Fargo, North Dakota

Contract

13 weeks
36–40 hours per week

Schedule

Majority of hours are 0700–2300
Occasional nights
Varied weekend rotation
May work 8- and 12-hour shifts
Backup call rotation with staff
May include about 2 weeknights per month and up to every 4th weekend

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Dakota
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
PALS issued by American Heart Association
Experience in an Acute Care setting
Critical Care experience

Preferred Experience

Critical care experience

Unit Details

PACU-only role
Cares for surgical patients across adult and pediatric populations, including ICU, Cath Lab, Endoscopy, and IR post-procedure patients
Patient age range includes babies through geriatrics
Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1 or 2:1

Work Setting

Hospital-based role
Not a match for outpatient surgery center experience
May float between campuses for Phase I PACU

Orientation

Basic hospital and unit orientation
Buddy RN support on the unit

Additional Notes

Cannot accept travelers living within 60 miles of the facility
Local travel rate applies for travelers living 60 to 80 miles away
Hospital-provided scrubs
Interview times should be provided with submission
