IR Technologist

Schedule

  • Day shift
  • 8-hour shifts
  • Monday through Friday
  • Start times: 7:30 AM or 8:30 AM
  • Call required: 1–2 nights per week and every 3rd weekend
  • Call response time: 30 minutes

Required Qualifications

  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification

Clinical Setting

  • Cath Lab, EP, and IR tech unit
  • 4 suites/labs
  • About 10 cases per day

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, record, and circulate cardiac cases
  • Scrub devices, peripheral, IR, and vascular cases
  • Float to EP to help circulate or scrub

Patient/Case Mix

  • CAD
  • STEMI
  • NSTEMI
  • PVD
  • Heart failure
  • Pulmonary embolism
  • Cardiac
  • IR
  • EP
  • Vascular

Additional Notes

  • Provided scrubs
  • Must clock in and out at the facility
  • Cerner and Merge are used in the unit
