Location: Machias, Maine
Employment Type: Contract
Shift: Day shift, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in Maine
- Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- Antepartum experience
- Post Partum experience
- Nursery experience
- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- STABLE
- AWHONN
- C-EFM
Role Overview
- Provides holistic, individualized nursing care for patients on the OB unit
- Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse
- Cares for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gyn patients
- Performs general and unit-specific clinical skills
- Manages supplies and equipment
- Supports teamwork with physicians and other hospital departments
