Overview

• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Location: Hilo, Hawaii
• Employment type: Contract

Unit / Department

• OR with 6 OR suites plus 1 dedicated to C sections; 4 to 6 rooms run simultaneously

Role Summary

• Circulate cases, help with turnover cleaning, transport patients when needed, and schedule cases
• Procedures to independently circulate: General, Orthopedic, Vascular, Ophthalmic, Urology, ENT, Endoscopy, Robotic, Obstetrics, Gynecology

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Hawaii
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS
• OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
• OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• Experience in an Acute Care setting
• Orthopedics experience
• Ophthalmology experience
• Urology experience
• ENT Surgery experience
• Endoscopy experience
• OB/GYN experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to scrub cases

Schedule / Call

• Variable shifts between 0645 and 2315, Monday through Friday
• Scheduled 40 hours per week, with possibility of 32 hours if there is a holiday
• Call coverage is 24/7
• Call is assigned about 1 to 2 times per week, plus up to 2 weekends per month
• Orientation is on day shift for up to 1 week, at manager discretion
• If requested time off is approved, traveler must complete a minimum of 39 shifts during the contract

• Scrubs are provided
• Must arrive the Thursday before start for an employee health appointment on Friday
