RN LDRP/OB

Overview

• Contract assignment in Grants, New Mexico
• 13-week contract
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour nights, with possible holiday/weekend coverage

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Mexico
• Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS
• NRP
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
• AWHONN
• C-EFM
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• SAFER NM Technician certification

Clinical Focus

• Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP)
• Skilled in perinatal care, labor support, delivery, and newborn assessment
• Knowledge of sterile technique and sterile field maintenance

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
• Provide direct patient care across the lifespan
• Educate patients and families
• Direct and supervise licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and other ancillary personnel
• Maintain documentation in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the broader care team
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and professional development
• Float to other departments as needed, with appropriate orientation and training
