Adult Psych RN
Overview
- Contract role in Lewiston, Maine.
- Inpatient adolescent behavioral unit caring for children and adolescents ages 6–18.
- Must be willing to float to Chemical Dependency/Detox.
- Shift: 3x 12-hour nights.
- Contract length: 13 weeks.
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Valid RN license in Maine.
- Psychiatric experience with at least 1 year of experience.
- Psychiatric experience within the last year.
- BLS certification.
- CPI certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–3 years previous nursing experience working with adults.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect patient care.
- Work with an interdisciplinary team.
- Administer medications and provide education.
- Complete daily documentation of patient care.
- Manage and monitor behaviors throughout the unit.
- Participate in and lead education groups.
Additional Notes
- Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid.
- The facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract.
