Adolescent Psych RN
Location: Lewiston, Maine
Employment Type: Contract
Shift: Days, 7a-7p (3x12)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Overview
RN role responsible for direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in all areas of the unit, including delegation, supervision, safety, patient/family education, and collaboration with other health professionals.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maine
- Psychiatric experience within the last year
- 3 years of psychiatric experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years previous nursing experience working with children and adolescents
- Basic Dysrhythmia, or obtained before completion of orientation
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training, or obtained before completion of orientation
Additional Notes
- No previous St. Mary's employees
- Candidates with licensure hits will not be considered
- Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid
- The facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract
- Candidate must reside outside a 50-mile radius
