Overview
- Contract role in Gardner, Massachusetts
- 32 hours per week, evening shift: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm
- 4 shifts per week
- Every other weekend and every other holiday
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS
Role Details
- Provides patient care based on standards of care, protocols, and established policies and procedures
- Provides ongoing assessment and teaching to surgical patients and families
- Interprets and documents patient cardiac rate, rhythm, and configuration and initiates appropriate treatment plan based on physician orders
- Safely administers medications and intravenous therapy
- Participates in daily multi-disciplinary rounds
- Uses pain management devices and other techniques to ensure proper pain relief
- Sets up, maintains, and troubleshoots equipment related to surgical patients, including traction/orthopedic equipment/devices, feeding pumps, chest tubes, and drains
