Overview
Provides respiratory care as ordered by physician and works with the medical and nursing staff. The role includes evaluating patient outcomes, educating patients and responsible persons about respiratory disease processes and discharge, sharing clinical knowledge with staff and students, and accepting reassignment to other units when necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Illinois
- Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
- Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- BLS
- NRP
- Associate's degree
