Job Description:
Join Advocate Southeast’s outpatient and inpatient vascular clinic, a dynamic facility dedicated to providing high-quality vascular care for all age groups. As a Vascular Sonographer, you will be integral to our multidisciplinary team, utilizing advanced ultrasound techniques to diagnose and monitor vascular conditions such as PVD, CAD, heart failure, CVA, venous insufficiency, renal and celiac stenosis, renal transplants, TOS, and more.
You will perform comprehensive vascular ultrasound examinations, including carotid, arterial, venous, DVT/reflux studies, vein mapping, renal, mesenteric, AAA, endograft assessments, and evaluation of hemodialysis grafts and arterial bypass grafts. Your expertise will support accurate diagnoses, inform treatment plans, and improve patient outcomes.
The department is well-equipped with Philips Epic Elite ultrasound machines, Parks PVR/Segmental Pressures systems, and uses EPIC electronic medical records. You will collaborate closely with department leadership and peers in a supportive, team-oriented environment that values professionalism and patient-centered care.
What You Bring:
- Minimum of 2 years of dedicated vascular ultrasound experience.
- Certification as Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through ARDMS or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) via CCI.
- Active BLS Certification required.
- Proficiency in using EPIC EMR system is essential.
- Experience with vascular reporting systems such as VascuPro is preferred.
- Strong technical skills in performing carotid, arterial, venous, DVT, vein mapping, renal, mesenteric, AAA, and graft assessments.
- Ability to operate vascular-specific equipment like PVR/Segmental Pressure systems and understand vascular pathology thoroughly.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Certified as an RVT or RVS with at least 2 years of recent vascular ultrasound experience.
- Prior experience working in outpatient and inpatient settings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with complex vascular procedures, including arterial bypass grafts and hemodialysis access, is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and EMR systems, particularly EPIC.
Certifications & License Requirements:
- ARDMS Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or CCI Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS).
- BLS certification is mandatory.
- No NC State licensure required.
