Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
Facility: Curry Health Network
Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM Night Shift (Thursday-Saturday, with potential OT shifts as needed)

Assignment Length: 13 weeks

Weekly Hours / Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Description:
Join Curry Health Network as a Respiratory Therapist and make an impactful difference in acute care settings. Starting ASAP, you'll work a night shift schedule (Thursday through Saturday), with the potential for overtime shifts to meet patient care needs. The position involves floating to Brookings if necessary, offering flexibility and diverse clinical experiences. This assignment guarantees 36 hours per week, providing reliable work and income.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing comprehensive respiratory care to patients in emergency and acute care settings.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Monitoring patient respiratory status and adjusting treatments accordingly.
• Documenting patient care and maintaining accurate records.
• On-call duty as required, ensuring prompt response to urgent respiratory needs.

Certifications & Licenses - Required:

• Current Oregon Respiratory Therapist License (must be in hand at the time of submission)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• NBRC Certification (National Board for Respiratory Care)

Additional Certifications (Preferred):

• Pulmonary Arterial Line Monitoring (PALS), which must be obtained after six months of employment at Curry Health Network, including extensions.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience in emergency and acute care respiratory therapy.
• Strong ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent assessment and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to floating between facilities and handle fast-paced environments.

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related healthcare field.
• Prior experience in a hospital-based respiratory care setting is highly desirable.
• Experience working night shifts and on-call responsibilities is preferred.
