Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Start Date: 12/15/2025
Assignment Length: 12 months (through 01/03/2026)
Number of Weeks: 3 shifts per week
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Weekly Stipend: $1,421.00
Weekly Taxable Pay: $2,099.64

Job Description:
Join Albany Medical Center as an MRI Tech in a dynamic night-shift role designed for professionals committed to excellence in patient care and diagnostic imaging. Under the guidance of the Medical Director, Section Head, and Radiologists, you will perform advanced MRI procedures while providing a safe, positive, and supportive experience for every patient. You will utilize your technical expertise to create high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring compliance with all radiation safety protocols in accordance with New York State Department of Health Code Part 16. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct MRI examinations, adhering to facility protocols and safety standards.
• Support patient positioning and comfort, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
• Maintain and calibrate MRI equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Enforce radiation safety measures and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with medical staff to deliver accurate diagnoses and high-quality patient care.
• Support teaching and knowledge sharing within the imaging team.
• Document procedures and patient information accurately.

Certifications and Licenses:

• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Registered — upon hire, required
• New York State registration or Limited Permit to Practice — upon hire, required
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) — upon hire, required

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Associate Degree in Applied Science or equivalent required
• Diploma in X-Ray or Vocational School Diploma required
• Graduate of an approved professional academic imaging program required
