Weekly Taxable Pay: $2,273.04
Weekly Stipend: $1,421.00
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Description:
Join Albany Medical Center as an MRI Technologist and become an integral part of a dynamic imaging team. Under the supervision of the Medical Director, Section Head, and Radiologist, you will perform advanced MRI procedures and assist in the clinical evaluation and care of patients. Your expertise will help produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring a positive and safe experience for every patient. You will strictly adhere to radiation safety protocols outlined by the New York State Department of Health (Part 16) in radiation-related modalities, practicing and enforcing safety measures consistently. As a professional in this role, you'll participate in ongoing education, keeping pace with technological advances to enhance your skills and support your colleagues’ growth.

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Applied Science – required
• Diploma in X-Ray Technology – required
• Vocational School Diploma – required
• Graduate of an approved professional academic imaging program – required
• Previous experience in MRI or related modalities – preferred
• Maintains competent imaging skills in your practicing modality(s)
• Practices in compliance with hospital policies, departmental standards, NY State regulations, and accrediting agencies' guidelines
• Demonstrates the ability to provide patient care tailored to the age and specific needs of diverse patients
• Ensures each patient has a safe, respectful, and positive experience

Licensing and Certification:

• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Registered – required at hire
• New York State Registration or Limited Permit to Practice in NY – required at hire
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified – required at hire

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Prior MRI imaging experience in a high-volume hospital setting
• Experience with advanced MRI protocols and techniques
• Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and NY State regulations
