Job Description:
Join Aurora Sinai Medical Center, a renowned teaching hospital located in Milwaukee, WI, as a Radiologic Technologist specializing in CT scanning. This facility is a Level IV Trauma Center with a Level III NICU and is designated as an Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center, offering a high-quality environment for professional growth.
In this role, you will perform diagnostic CT procedures for a diverse patient population, including angiography, general, and procedural patients such as drains and biopsies. You will be responsible for adhering to all safety and infection control protocols, including Covid-19 vaccination and PPE requirements. The patient ratio is 1:1, ensuring ample opportunity to deliver personalized care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and operate CT imaging equipment, including Cannon 80-slice and GE 40-slice scanners.
- Follow physician orders for imaging procedures, ensuring image quality and patient safety.
- Maintain detailed documentation within the EPIC charting system and other support systems such as Alaris, Pyxis, and McKesson PACS.
- Support patient care by ensuring comfort and safety during procedures.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide accurate and timely imaging services.
- Adhere to hospital protocols, including infection control and PPE guidelines.
- Participate in weekend rotations and on-call schedules as required, with schedule variations based on departmental needs.
Qualifications:

Required Certifications and Licenses:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- Wisconsin State License for Radiologic Technologist

- Support staff and resources available include charting in EPIC, medication management via Pyxis, and PACS imaging review through McKesson.
- Support staff will assist with equipment and medication support, ensuring smooth workflow.
Additional Information:
- The role requires vaccination compliance for Covid-19.

- Orientation will be provided to familiarize you with hospital protocols and equipment.

What You Bring:
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant CT experience, especially in procedural and angiography imaging.
- Certified and licensed per Wisconsin requirements (BLS, ARRT, Wisconsin License).
- Proficiency in operating advanced CT scanners and understanding of supportive hospital systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, particularly during weekend rotations and on-call periods.
- Strong commitment to patient safety, infection control, and professional development.
