Job Title: Cath IR Rad Tech
Facility: Advocate South Suburban Hospital
Shift: 10-Hour Day Shift (40 hours/week)
Start Date: 12/22/2025
Assignment Length: 13 weeks (through 03/21/2026)
Weekly Stipend: $1,638.00
Weekly Taxable Pay: $2,928.52
Shift Details: 10-hour day shifts, 4 shifts per week
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Certifications and Licenses:

• Illinois Radiology Technologist License (Required)
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (Required)

Key Responsibilities:

• Support intra-procedure workflows by scrubbing into procedures with procedural physicians
• Operate specialized imaging equipment in cardiac, peripheral, and electrophysiology procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and radiation safety standards
• Assist with cardiac catheterizations, including diagnoses like coronary disease and peripheral artery conditions
• Support electrophysiology studies, arrhythmia ablations, and device implants
• Ensure equipment readiness and proper operation during procedures

What You Bring:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in interventional radiology, cardiac catheterization, or electrophysiology
• Ability to scrub into complex procedures and support physicians effectively
• Familiarity with Cath/EP/IR supplies and procedural workflows
• Strong understanding of radiation safety precautions
• Excellent attention to detail, sterile technique, and team collaboration skills
• Willingness to support a dynamic, growing department with a focus on patient care

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Prior experience working with Philips Azurion imaging systems and Cardo EP Ablation equipment
• Experience in a Level II Trauma Center setting preferred but not required
• Demonstrated ability to support multiple procedural teams and adapt to department needs

Additional Details:

• Orientation: 2 days (facility and department)
• Travel/Floatability: No floating required
• Scheduling: 1 weekend on call per month; 1-2 nights on call weekly (Friday 5:30 PM – Monday 7:00 AM)
• Major Holiday: 1 during contract period
• RTO Requests: Up to 7 days may be approved depending on schedule and contract extension
• Parking: Free parking provided
