ICU RN – Float Pool

Start Date: October or November starts accepted
Shift: Day – 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
Hours: 36 or 48 hours/week
Weekend Requirement: Yes
Floating: Yes – ICU Float Pool

Job Requirements
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience.
Active California RN license required at the time of submission. Pending licenses are not accepted.
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
First-time travelers are accepted, provided they have experience working in a 400+ bed hospital.
Large hospital experience is required.
PA Line / Swan-Ganz experience is mandatory. Candidates without this experience should not be submitted. Experience will be assessed during the phone interview and through an additional skills checklist.
Flu vaccination is required; no declinations or exemptions are accepted.
Float Pool Details

This is an ICU Float Pool position. The RN may be required to float to:

ICU
Medical-Surgical/Telemetry
PCU
Stepdown
Overflow units
Overflow PACU
Important Scheduling Information
No scheduling requests can be accommodated.
Maximum 7 days of RTO.
No RTO during the first 2 weeks of the assignment.
Must work 3 out of 5 holidays.
Weekend coverage is required.
Orientation Requirement

An EKG examination will be administered on the first day of orientation. The candidate must pass the exam to proceed with the contract.

Important: PA Line/Swan-Ganz experience is a mandatory requirement for this position.
