Description
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care
Perform Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging procedures
Administer radiopharmaceuticals safely
Perform IV insertion and patient assessments
Educate and prepare patients before imaging procedures
Monitor patient safety and respond to emergencies
Follow infection control and sterile technique standards
Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
Handle radioactive materials safely according to ALARA guidelines
Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records
Technical Responsibilities
Operate PET, Nuclear Medicine, CT, and Hot Lab equipment
Produce high-quality diagnostic images
Perform quality assurance checks
Transfer images accurately to PACS systems
Troubleshoot and report equipment issues
Enter accurate billing, coding, and exam information
Maintain imaging productivity and quality standards
Operational & Team Responsibilities
Coordinate with radiologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams
Assist with workflow efficiency and patient flow
Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Mentor students and junior technologists
Attend departmental meetings and required trainings
Support process improvement and operational excellence
Participate in rotational call coverage if assigned
Required Qualifications
Education
Associate’s Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field
Preferred
Bachelor’s Degree
Required Certifications
Candidates must have ALL of the following:
ARRT Nuclear Medicine certification OR
NMTCB Certification
Texas Medical Board (TMB) CMRT License
CPR Certification
Preferred Certifications
PET Certification
ACLS
PALS / PEARS
Additional ARRT or NMTCB credentials
Required Experience
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist/PET Technologist
Preferred
Experience in oncology imaging
Experience at MD Anderson Cancer Center or similar academic medical centers
PET imaging expertise strongly preferred

Della Infotech Inc Job ID #5216. Pay package is based on 9 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
