We are seeking an experienced Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong stepdown experience, cardiac care proficiency, and confidence with EKGs. The candidate must also be flexible and willing to float to similar units as needed.
Requirements
1+ year of Stepdown experience — REQUIRED
Proficiency in cardiac care — REQUIRED
Travel nursing experience — REQUIRED
Comfortable with EKGs — REQUIRED
Must be willing to float to similar units — REQUIRED
Schedule & Coverage
Shift Guarantee: 48 hours
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
On-Call Requirement: Possible
Floating: May be required to float to similar units
Key Responsibilities
• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to stepdown patients.
• Monitor and assess patients with cardiac and other complex conditions.
• Perform and interpret EKGs within the scope of practice.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately.
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Follow facility policies, procedures, and patient safety standards.
• Float to similar units when required.
