Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Adults and Peds
SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING
===============================
• Shift hours 3x12s, 645p-715a, EOW
*4x12s may be available upon request*

• Charting: EPIC experience required

• RTO: ALL requests must be included with the submission.

• Call off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2-weeks.

• Holiday Requirement: Must work one holiday per 13-week contract.

• Accept First-Time Travelers: No

• Locals Accepted? No. Refer to the Submittal Instructions for radius rule criteria

• Pending License Accepted: Yes. Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner by the VA State Board of Medicine required. **Other state licenses accepted, but will be required to obtain 90 day temporary authorization while VA perm license issues

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

• BLS, ACLS, PALS
--NRP (preferred)

• RRT: Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)

• CRT not accepted

REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS
========================
• Must have Critical Care and Emergency Department Experience. Experience with adults and Peds

• Aerosol and medication delivery systems

• Experience with: ARDS, aspiration, COVID, Pneumonia,

• Airway management: Extubation, intubation assist, oral/nasal airway placement, suctioning, sputum collection, tracheostomy care.

• Familiar with all modes of mechanical ventilation, non-invasive ventilation, nitric oxide delivery. Experience with Servo I, V60, Nitric, 3100A, 3100B, Jet

UNIT DETAILS AND FLOATING

• Patient Population: Serves Peds (low acuity) and adults

• Floating: Will be required to float within skillset
