Ultrasound Tech Maternal Fetal (OBGYN and General experience needed)
SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING
===============================
• Shift hours: 4x10s, 830p-630a, weekday nights, plus backup call

• Charting: Epic required

• Weekend Requirement: Weekend availability preferred.

• On Call Requirement: Yes. Back up call as needed. Will cover weekday call M-Th, 7p-7a approximately every 6 weeks.

• RTO: ALL requests must be included with the submission.

• Call off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.

• Holiday Requirement: Must work one holiday per 13-week contract.

• Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes. 1st time traveler is acceptable if they have a minimum of five years of ultrasound experience.

• Proficient in OB/GYN imaging (all trimesters, fetal anatomical surveys, amniotic fluid index)

• General abdominal (liver, gallbladder, biliary tract, pancreas, spleen, abdominal aorta)

• Vascular (aorta)

• Pelvic/genitourinary (bladder, ovaries, uterus, vaginal, renal/bladder)

• Small parts (thyroid, testicles/scrotum, superficial masses)

• Adult/portable studies across work settings

UNIT DETAILS AND FLOATING

• Floating: Yes. Variable shifts.

• Need general and OBGYN experience (1st, 2nd & 3rd trimester OB included); pediatric exam experience is preferred.

Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital is a 703-bed acute care teaching hospital and the flagship facility of Carilion Clinic. The Imaging Department offers advanced maternal fetal ultrasound services as part of the region’s only Maternal Fetal Medicine program integrated with a NICU, with exams performed by credentialed technologists and interpreted by board-certified maternal fetal medicine specialists.. It is the region’s only Level I Trauma Center (Adult & Pediatrics) and is Magnet-designated. The hospital features advanced specialty care and a dedicated children’s hospital.
