About the Role:
Join our dedicated healthcare team at Fulton State Hospital, a premier mental health hospital in Missouri, as a Physical Therapist (PT)! In this role, you’ll provide rehabilitative care to patients with mental health conditions, helping them regain mobility, strength, and functional independence while supporting their overall wellness. This position is ideal for PTs who are compassionate, patient-focused, and thrive in a multidisciplinary environment.

What You’ll Do:

Evaluate patients’ physical abilities and develop individualized treatment plans

Provide therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence

Adapt care plans to meet the unique needs of patients in a mental health setting

Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care

Monitor and document patient progress in compliance with hospital and state guidelines

Educate patients on exercises, adaptive techniques, and safe mobility strategies

Participate in team meetings, continuing education, and professional development

Requirements:

Current Missouri PT license

Experience in an inpatient or mental health setting preferred

Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Commitment to patient-centered care and safety
