A healthcare facility in Amsterdam, New York is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment within an inpatient Behavioral Health unit. This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned Psych RN with extensive psychiatric nursing and travel experience who is comfortable managing complex behavioral health patients in a structured inpatient setting.

The RN will provide comprehensive psychiatric nursing care, perform patient assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, administer medications, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary behavioral health team to promote patient safety and positive outcomes.

Schedule:
• Day Shift – 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 12-Hour Shifts
• 36 Hours per Week
• 13-Week Assignment
• Start Date: July 6, 2026

Requirements:
• Active New York RN License
• Current BLS Certification
• Current CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) Certification
• Minimum 5 Years of Psychiatric Nursing Experience
• Minimum 2 Years of Recent Travel Nursing Experience
• Previous travel contract renewals preferred
• Inpatient Behavioral Health experience required

Responsibilities:
• Perform psychiatric assessments and ongoing patient monitoring
• Administer medications and therapeutic treatments
• Manage behavioral health crises and de-escalation interventions
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Support a safe and therapeutic treatment environment
• Implement individualized patient care plans
