Description

1. Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse for a 13-week night shift (NOC) contract in Chico. This role involves providing specialized inpatient oncology care, including IV chemotherapy administration, while working 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM start) in an acute care hospital setting.

3. Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to oncology patients in an inpatient acute setting
Administer IV chemotherapy and monitor patients for adverse reactions
Perform ongoing patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Collaborate with physicians and care teams to deliver optimal treatment
Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR
Float to Med/Surg or other units as needed to support patient care
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, especially for chemotherapy handling
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and care needs
4. Required Experience
Minimum 2 years of inpatient acute oncology nursing experience
Experience administering IV chemotherapy
Prior travel nursing experience preferred
5. Required Education
Graduate of an accredited Nursing program
6. Required Certifications
Active California RN license
BLS and ACLS certifications
Oncology/Chemotherapy certification
