Description

Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery / OB

Location: Fort Defiance, Arizona
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 13 weeks
Positions: 1
Shift: 12-Hour Day Shift
Schedule: 36 hours/week (flexibility required)

Overview

Seeking a highly experienced RN to support a Labor & Delivery unit providing care across L&D, postpartum, and newborn services. This role requires strong clinical judgment and the ability to work in a dynamic environment with occasional leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities
Provide care for laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and newborns
Support baby-friendly practices (rooming-in model)
Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries
Monitor maternal and fetal well-being
Perform postpartum and newborn assessments
Serve as charge nurse when needed (after orientation/training)
Float to other units as required within skill set
Unit Details
Approximately 40 deliveries per month
Around 6 C-sections per month
Combined L&D, postpartum, and newborn care unit
Focus on patient-centered maternity care
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care

Certifications (Required):

BLS
NRP
ACLS or ALSO
AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (or RNC-EFM equivalent)
Additional Details
Active state RN license required
EMR: RPMS
Must be flexible for weekends, holidays, and occasional shift changes
Travelers may float based on competency
Holiday coverage required
Orientation scheduled on Mondays only

Patterns Hiring Job ID #295702. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
