Schedule: 3 x 10-Hour Day Shifts (30 Hours/Week)

Job Summary

Heywood Hospital is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to provide perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The OR RN will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care throughout the surgical process.

Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
Maintain sterile fields and adhere to aseptic techniques.
Prepare and manage surgical equipment, supplies, and instrumentation.
Verify patient identification, surgical consent, procedure, and operative site.
Perform accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts.
Handle and label surgical specimens according to facility protocols.
Administer medications and IV therapies as ordered.
Document patient care accurately in Meditech EMR.
Requirements
Active Massachusetts RN License.
BLS Certification required.
ACLS required upon hire or within 60 days.
Operating Room experience preferred.
CNOR certification strongly preferred.
Strong communication, multitasking, and critical-thinking skills.
