Job Description:
- This position is primarily within the Intensive Care Unit and periodically will FLOAT to ED, Med/Surg or Peds in case of low census.
- Provides Nursing Care to critically ill patients.
- The Registered Nurse performs a variety of responsible nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments and ability to work independently in completing assignments.
- Guidelines include doctors' orders, standards of care, nursing policies and procedures manuals, hospital policies.
- Nursing duties include the provision of inpatient care and support in the 5 Bed I.C.U. to individuals of all ages and their families.
- After hours recovery of post op general surgery, pediatric, & OB patients as needed.

Necessary Qualifications:
- Experience: Must have at least 3 years of prior ICU experience
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing
- Certifications: Must have and maintain a current valid unrestricted Professional Nursing License (RN) to practice nursing in any state of the United States of America, The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States

Current Valid Certifications Required:
o Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
o Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
o Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association preferred
o Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) preferred
o National Institutes of Health (NIH) – NIHSS preferred
