The ER/Swing Bed RN position at Rangely District Hospital is a hospital nursing role that combines emergency room care with swing bed/acute care patient management.

Main Responsibilities

Typical duties include:

Providing direct patient care in the Emergency Room and Swing Bed units
Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care
Handling emergency situations and triage
Administering medications and treatments
Monitoring patient conditions and documenting care in the EMR
Coordinating with physicians and healthcare staff
Educating patients and families on treatment and discharge plans
Supporting rehabilitation and transitional care patients in the Swing Bed unit
Work Schedule
Usually night shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
Common schedule: 3x12-hour shifts
Full-time or 13-week travel contracts depending on the posting
Required Qualifications

Most postings list:

Active RN license (Colorado or compact state)
Minimum 2–3 years ER experience
Certifications:
BLS
ACLS
TNCC

Hospital Setting
Critical access hospital
About 25 beds
Nurses may rotate between ER, Acute Care, and Swing Bed units
