Description
-Assists nursing staff and physician during the procedure with efficient running of equipment related to the needs of the procedure (including, but not limited to polypectomy, -biopsies, screening exams, ERCP, and dilations).
-Disinfects and processes endoscopic equipment.
-Assists with troubleshooting of equipment.
-Sets up room for procedures.
-Transports patients as needed.
-Stocks rooms with supplies and equipment.
-Assists patients with getting dressed and ambulation as directed by nursing staff.
-Assists with applying EKG monitors, BP cuff and pulse oximetry prior to start of case.
Certifications:
-High School diploma or equivalent required.
-BLS through the American Heart Association is required.
-Registered with DORA as a CO Surgical Tech, required in Colorado. Do not submit candidates that do not have their Colorado Surgical Tech Registration already active.
Highly preferred, both or either:
-Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA) Associates Program and/or Advanced Associates Program.
-Current IAHCSMM Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) Certification.
Experience required:
-2 years of Endo experience is required.
-Advanced Case Endo experience is also required.
