Description

📍 Mauston, WI | 🗓️ 13 Weeks | ⏱️ 36 hrs/week | ☀️ Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM / 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM)

Seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to provide high-quality emergency care for patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric populations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate excellent clinical judgment, and deliver compassionate, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive patient assessments, triage, and emergency nursing care
Utilize the Emergency Severity Index (ESI) 5-level triage process
Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and emergency treatments
Monitor critically ill patients and respond effectively to emergency situations
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
Maintain accurate documentation using the electronic medical record
Ensure compliance with patient safety, legal, and infection control standards

Requirements:

Active Wisconsin RN License or Compact RN License
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
ATCN preferred
Associate Degree in Nursing required (BSN preferred)
Experience with Meditech EMR preferred

Assignment Details:

13-week assignment
36 hours per week
Three 12-hour day shifts (combination of 7:00 AM–7:00 PM and 10:00 AM–10:00 PM)
Every 3rd weekend required
Holiday coverage required
No on-call
1 opening

Patterns Hiring Job ID #298261. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
