Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center – Janesville, WI

Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center is seeking a skilled Cardiac Cath/EP Technologist to support procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology (EP), TAVR, and Left Atrial Appendage Closure areas.

Responsibilities
Prepare patients, equipment, and supplies for procedures using sterile technique.
Verify the integrity and expiration dates of sterile supplies.
Prepare and maintain sterile fields and assist with procedural setup.
Scrub into procedures while maintaining proper sterile and aseptic technique.
Apply patient monitoring equipment and prepare vascular access sites with appropriate sterile draping.
Monitor and accurately document procedural data and maintain event logs.
Provide patient comfort and explain equipment and supplies used during procedures.
Prepare equipment and supplies for sterilization following procedures.
Promote and follow radiation safety practices for patients and staff.
Wear required personal radiation dosimeter and take appropriate precautions to minimize radiation exposure.
Document fluoroscopy times and radiation doses.
Review radiation reports and ensure exposure levels remain within established safety limits.
Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, technologists, and other members of the procedural team.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
ARRT(R) certification required.
Active Wisconsin Radiologic Technologist license required.
Cardiovascular Technologist registration preferred/required per facility requirements.
BLS certification required.
ACLS certification required.
Strong knowledge of sterile/aseptic technique and radiation safety.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced cardiac procedural environment.
Patterns Hiring Job ID #298377. Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
