Qualifications Required:
-Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Oklahoma (or compact license).
-Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.
Preferred/Required within timeframe after hire:
-TNCC and ENPC certifications (preferred).
-Prior experience in Emergency Nursing, Critical Care, or high-acuity settings.
Job Duties:
-Perform comprehensive and focused assessments of patients presenting with emergent, urgent, or non-urgent conditions.
-Triage patients using evidence-based triage protocols to determine acuity levels and initiate appropriate care.
-Provide rapid intervention and stabilization for patients experiencing medical, surgical, traumatic, psychiatric, and pediatric emergencies.
-Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with hospital policy and provider orders.
-Operate and monitor medical equipment such as cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, ventilators, and point-of-care testing devices.
-Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, EMS personnel, and other healthcare team members.
-Coordinate patient care, including diagnostic testing, re-evaluation, disposition planning, and patient education.
-Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record.
-Participate in rapid response, trauma activations, code blue, stroke, and STEMI protocols as required.
-Maintain strict adherence to infection control, safety guidelines, and hospital standards.
-Support a culture of patient-centered care, empathy, and service excellence in a high-volume ED environment.
