Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg Adult

Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital | St. Johnsbury, VT | 13 Weeks | 36 hrs/week | Flex Day/Night Rotation

Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) is seeking an experienced Travel RN for its adult Medical/Surgical unit. This 25-bed Critical Access Hospital offers a broad clinical environment where nurses care for primarily adult patients, with occasional pediatric admissions, while working as an integral part of a close-knit team.

Position Highlights:

Start Date: September 2, 2026
Contract: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Shift: Flex Day/Night rotation
Shift Times: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Primarily adult Med/Surg patient population
Occasional pediatric patients; not a dedicated pediatric unit
Opportunity to serve as Charge RN when needed
Broad scope including medical, surgical, observation, swing bed, outpatient, and occasional pediatric care
Holiday coverage required
EMR: Meditech

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of recent acute care RN experience
Current Vermont RN license or Compact Multi-State RN License
BLS/BCLS – American Heart Association
ACLS – American Heart Association
Meditech experience preferred
Charge RN experience preferred
Pediatric-only RNs will not be considered

Location: St. Johnsbury, Vermont
Facility Type: 25-bed independent Critical Access Hospital
Transportation: Personal transportation is necessary due to the rural location; public transportation is not available
Housing: Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing; local housing resources may be available
Flu vaccination: Required with no exceptions
Schedule Flexibility: Must be comfortable rotating between day and night shifts
