OB/L&D Registered Nurse – Day Shift
Location: Viroqua, WI
Facility: Vernon Memorial Healthcare
Contract: 10 Weeks
Shift: 12-hour Days | 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
Hours: 36 hours/week guaranteed
Weekend: Every 3rd weekend
Holiday: Holiday rotation required

Call: No Call

Job Description

The OB/L&D Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to labor and delivery, postpartum, and mother-and-baby patients in a Critical Access Hospital setting. The RN will support patients throughout the labor, delivery, and postpartum process while providing safe, compassionate, and individualized care.

Responsibilities
Provide nursing care to Labor & Delivery and Postpartum patients.
Monitor maternal and fetal conditions and recognize changes requiring intervention.
Assist with labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care.
Provide newborn and mother-and-baby care.
Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital policies.
Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care.
Maintain accurate patient documentation and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
Promote patient safety, comfort, privacy, and dignity.
Collaborate with providers and other members of the OB care team.
Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and evidence-based nursing practices.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of nursing experience.
Recent Labor & Delivery and Postpartum experience required.
Experience in a Critical Access Hospital setting preferred.
Active Wisconsin RN license required.
BLS/BCLS required.
NRP required.
Strong clinical, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
