Shift: Days | 4×10-hour shifts | 6:30 AM–5:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week
Call: 1 night per week + weekends based on staffing needs

The Operating Room RN will provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other members of the surgical team. The RN will assess and monitor patients, assist with surgical procedures, maintain sterile technique, and ensure compliance with hospital and perioperative standards.

Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout the surgical process.
Verify patient identification, consent, procedure, and surgical site.
Prepare and manage surgical supplies, equipment, and instrumentation.
Maintain sterile fields and follow aseptic and infection-control practices.
Perform accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts.
Safely position and transfer patients during surgical procedures.
Administer medications and IV therapy as ordered.
Identify, label, and properly handle specimens and cultures.
Monitor patients and respond appropriately to changes or emergencies.
Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses.
Collaborate effectively with the surgical and healthcare team.
Promote patient safety, privacy, dignity, and comfort.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Active Massachusetts RN license required.
BLS/BCLS required.
ACLS required upon hire or must obtain AHA ACLS within 60 days.
Operating Room nursing experience strongly preferred.
Excellent communication, teamwork, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
