Saint Francis Health System is seeking a Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist / Vascular Sonographer for a specialized cardiovascular imaging assignment. The ideal candidate will have vascular ultrasound experience and the ability to perform advanced cardiac and/or peripheral vascular studies while collaborating closely with physicians and surgeons.

Position Highlights:

Start Date: October 5, 2026
Contract: 13 weeks
Schedule: Friday/Saturday/Sunday
Shift: 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts
Perform advanced cardiac and peripheral vascular ultrasound procedures.
Perform vascular studies including arterial, renal, and transcranial Doppler examinations.
Perform cardiac ultrasound procedures, including TEE and stress echocardiography, as applicable to credentialing and competency.
Review pertinent patient information prior to procedures.
Obtain accurate diagnostic images and measurements using appropriate ultrasound equipment and transducers.
Recognize and communicate abnormal or critical findings promptly to physicians and clinical staff.
Assist physicians with complex procedures in the OR, Hybrid Lab, Cath Lab, and CAD, including TAVR, SAVR, TandemHeart, Lariat procedures, and pseudoaneurysm compression.
Maintain accurate documentation and procedural records.
Participate in departmental quality assurance and accreditation activities.
Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements:

Minimum 6 months of related experience
Vascular Ultrasound experience required
Ability to work independently and utilize critical-thinking skills
Strong communication skills with physicians, surgeons, and healthcare staff
BLS required
One of the following credentials required:
RDCS or RVT – ARDMS
RCS or RVS – CCI
High School Diploma or GED required
Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound or Cardiac Ultrasound program preferred
Current registry/competency in the applicable specialty required
Ability to participate in an on-call rotation after regular business hours
