Assignment Location: 777 North Street, Pittsfield, MA DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION Perform a wide variety of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment and ingenuity. Requires initiative to apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis. May be assigned independent responsibilities by Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, or Operations Manager. Proper care of the client in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies and procedures is required. May be responsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to department personnel as determined by Operations Manager or Lead Technologist. Practices infection control and body substance isolation in clinical practice in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Demonstrates proper operation of PACS, HIS and RIS computer systems. Demonstrates ability to operate and trouble shoot CR, DR and PACs applications. Attends annual mandatory education to include blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation. Maintains department competencies as required. Must have excellent patient care skills. Must be current with all continuing education for both radiology and mammography Requested time off during the course of this assignment MUST be noted and verified at upload. 📍 Pittsfield, MA | 🗓️ 13 Weeks | ⏱️ 40 hrs/week | ☀️ Days (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)

Seeking an experienced Mammography/X-Ray Technologist to join a busy imaging department. This role requires proficiency in both Mammography and General X-Ray, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Perform high-quality Mammography and General X-Ray examinations
Operate imaging equipment while ensuring patient safety and comfort
Maintain accurate imaging documentation using PACS/RIS systems
Follow radiation safety, infection control, and departmental protocols
Collaborate with radiologists and the healthcare team to support timely diagnosis
Assist with quality assurance and maintain imaging equipment

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of X-Ray experience (including 1 year of current experience)
Minimum 2 years of current Mammography experience
ARRT (R) and ARRT (M) certifications required
Active Massachusetts Radiology License (or application in process)
Current AHA BLS certification
Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
Proficiency in both Mammography and General Radiography
Reliable personal vehicle required

Assignment Details:

13-week assignment
40 hours per week
Day shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
No scheduled weekends (holiday coverage as needed)
No on-call
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
10- and 12-hour shift requests are not available for this assignment
