Seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-acuity cardiac and post-operative care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
Provide post-operative open-heart care
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to changes
Manage chest tubes, drains, and temporary pacemakers
Provide pre- and post-procedure care for radial and femoral access patients
Manage NIV, high-flow oxygen, and other oxygen delivery systems
Assist with chest tube and pericardial pacing wire removal
Collaborate with and support LPNs, PCTs, and other staff
Float to units within scope of practice and skill level

Requirements:

2+ years of RN experience
Post-operative open-heart care experience required
Critical care experience highly preferred
Chest tube and drain management experience
Cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation proficiency
Experience with temporary pacemakers
Experience with NIV and high-flow oxygen
AHA BLS & ACLS required
Active Ohio or Compact RN license required

Assignment Details:

13-week contract
1 opening
36 hours/week guaranteed
Day shift – 12 hours
Every other weekend required
No call
Must be willing to float to units within skill level
Start Date: September 10, 2026
