Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) | Nights

Seeking an experienced PCU RN with a strong cardiac background for a high-acuity Progressive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will have post-operative open-heart experience and strong cardiac monitoring skills.

Position Details
Start Date: September 10, 2026
Contract: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights | 12-hour shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hrs/week
Weekend: Every other weekend
On Call: None
Openings: 1
Patient Ratio: 4–5:1
Unit: 26-bed Cardiac PCU
EMR: Meditech
Scrub Color: Navy Blue
Floating: Required within skill level
Requirements
2+ years of RN experience
Post-operative open-heart care experience required
Critical Care experience highly preferred
Chest tube and drain management experience
Experience with pre/post-procedure care involving radial and femoral access
Strong cardiac monitoring skills, including rhythm interpretation
Knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary abnormalities
Experience with temporary pacemakers, pericardial pacing wires, chest tube removal, NIV, high-flow oxygen, and other oxygen delivery systems
BLS & ACLS – AHA required
Active Ohio or Compact RN license
PCU skills checklist current within the past year
Additional Details
Must be willing to float to units within scope and skill level
Local candidates within a 45-mile radius may be considered under local traveler guidelines
