Registered Nurse (RN) | Med Surg

McLaren Northern Michigan | Petoskey, MI | Oct 26, 2026 – Jan 25, 2027 | 13 Weeks | Night Shift

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide quality patient care in a fast-paced Med Surg setting.

Position Highlights:

• 12-hour night shifts
• 36 hours/week
• Every other weekend
• No on-call
• 2 open positions
• 60-bed Medical Surgical Unit
• Diverse patient population including medical, surgical, trauma, stroke, and hospice
• Travel experience preferred
• 35-mile local traveler rule

Key Duties:

• Provide direct Med Surg nursing care
• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments
• Monitor patient responses and evaluate outcomes
• Provide patient and family education
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Follow patient safety and evidence-based nursing standards

Requirements:

✔ 2+ years of straight Med Surg RN experience – REQUIRED
✔ Level I or II Trauma experience – REQUIRED
✔ Active Michigan RN License – REQUIRED
✔ AHA BLS – REQUIRED
✔ Current RN skills checklist completed within the last year
✔ Michigan license verified through LARA/Nursys
✔ Travel experience – PREFERRED
✔ References not required

Patterns Hiring Job ID #69548-1002. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
