Description

Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Days
Location: Dallas, TX
Facility: Parkland Health
Contract: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM–5:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week guaranteed
Weekends: No weekends
Call: Possible call

Radius Rule: 60 Miles Radius rule applied to be qualified as Traveler

Job Description

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures, operate specialized imaging equipment, maintain quality and safety standards, and provide accurate diagnostic information for physician interpretation. The technologist will work closely with physicians and the healthcare team while ensuring proper handling and documentation of radioactive materials and patient procedures.

Responsibilities
Perform nuclear medicine diagnostic procedures and maintain high-quality imaging standards.
Operate Gamma Cameras, SPECT/CT, PET/CT, nuclear medicine computers, and cardiac stress equipment.
Perform equipment quality control, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance.
Administer IV and IM injections and start IV lines as required.
Perform cardiac studies and utilize basic EKG knowledge.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient procedures, radioactive materials, and quality-control data.
Follow radiation safety, infection-control, regulatory, and departmental standards.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding appropriate procedures.
Provide patient care, education, and support throughout examinations.
Maintain knowledge of current nuclear medicine practices, technology, and regulations.
Requirements
Minimum 24 months of current Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience.
Active Texas MRT certification through the Texas Medical Board/TDSHS.
ARRT(N) or active CNMT required.
BLS – AHA required.
Proficiency with SPECT/CT and PET/CT.
Experience with Siemens and Spectrum Imaging highly preferred.
Knowledge of nuclear medicine therapeutic treatments.
Ability to perform cardiac nuclear medicine studies.
Previous Parkland employment history must be disclosed, if applicable.
Patterns Hiring Job ID #69859-0918. Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
