CSFA – Operating Room Travel Contract
Location: Marshall, MI
Start Date: 10/19/2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts
Hours: 40 hours/week guaranteed
Call: Required rotation
Weekends/Holidays: As needed

Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) for an Operating Room travel assignment. The CSFA will provide perioperative support to the surgical team and must be able to work independently and adapt quickly to the OR environment.

Responsibilities
Provide perioperative care to surgical patients under the direction of an RN.
Assist the surgical team during operative procedures.
Handle surgical instruments and medical devices.
Provide surgical exposure, handle and cut tissue, achieve hemostasis, and perform suturing as appropriate.
Arrange and maintain sterile surgical setups.
Pass instruments and supplies to the surgical team.
Assist with patient preparation, positioning, movement, and transfer.
Maintain infection prevention and safety standards.
Assist with cleaning and preparing the OR.
Follow evidence-based practices, policies, and procedures.
Participate in competency assessments and ongoing professional development.
Work independently and demonstrate strong clinical judgment.
Requirements
2+ years of current CSFA experience required.
Active NBSTSA certification required.
AHA BLS required.
Current CSFA skills checklist completed within the past year.
One supervisory reference from within the past 2 years.
Previous travel experience preferred.
Work history required.
