Registered Nurse (RN) – Outpatient / PACU
Location: Windsor, VT
Start Date: 11/09/2026
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 32 hours/week + additional hours from call
Call: 2–3 days/week and 2 weekends/month

Position Overview
Seeking an experienced PACU/Same Day Surgery RN to provide pre- and post-operative care for adult and geriatric patients in an outpatient surgical setting. The RN will support admissions, discharges, Phase I and Phase II recovery, and assist with OR preparation as needed.

Responsibilities
Complete nursing admission assessments and patient preparation.
Provide Phase I and Phase II post-anesthesia care.
Monitor patients and provide appropriate post-operative interventions.
Start IVs and provide patient education.
Prepare the OR for surgical procedures and assist the OR team as needed.
Manage multiple patients while maintaining safe, efficient care.
Participate in mandatory call coverage.

Requirements
Minimum 2 years of Same Day Surgery/PACU experience.
Rural OR or outpatient surgical experience required.
Phase I/Phase II PACU experience.
OR preparation experience required.
IV start experience.
Cerner experience required.
Travel nursing experience highly preferred.
Active VT or Compact RN license; willing to obtain VT license before start.
AHA BLS and ACLS required.
Own transportation required.
No local travelers within 50 miles.
RTO must be submitted upfront; maximum 5 days.
