Shift: Afternoons
Schedule: 5 × 8-hour shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Weekend: Every other weekend
Call: Possible

Job Description:
McLaren Macomb is seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment. The technologist will perform diagnostic imaging procedures, ensure proper patient positioning and safety, maintain image quality, and assist physicians with specialized radiological procedures.

Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures according to department protocols.
Prepare, position, and safely transfer patients using appropriate lifting and immobilization techniques.
Verify patient identification, medical history, allergies, and pertinent clinical information.
Operate imaging equipment and ensure proper image quality.
Maintain and perform required equipment quality control and calibration.
Manage electronic/digital image capture, storage, and transfer.
Administer IV contrast when required and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
Assist with emergency situations, including basic CPR.
Follow radiation safety standards and Michigan regulations.
Assist radiologists and physicians with specialized procedures.
Maintain accurate patient and procedure documentation.
Support department scheduling, inventory, cleanliness, and quality improvement activities.
Assist with training new personnel when needed.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of X-Ray experience — Required
ARRT certification — Required
BLS — Required
Traveler experience — Preferred
Cerner experience
Ability to work every other weekend
Must be available for possible call
