Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: November 9, 2026
Shift: Evenings, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Schedule: Five 8-hour shifts per week, 40 hours weekly

Job Description
Berkshire Medical Center is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray) for a 13-week evening contract assignment in Pittsfield, MA. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, maintain patient safety, operate imaging equipment, and ensure compliance with departmental policies and infection-control standards.
Roles and Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures using appropriate positioning and imaging techniques.
Exercise independent judgment to obtain quality diagnostic images and support accurate diagnoses.
Provide compassionate patient care while maintaining patient comfort, dignity, and confidentiality.
Operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, PACS, HIS, and RIS systems as required.
Follow infection-control protocols, body substance isolation practices, and OSHA standards.
Maintain departmental competencies and complete required continuing education.
Collaborate with radiology staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support efficient patient care.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of radiology experience, including at least 1 year of current experience.
Active ARRT (R) certification.
Active Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license, or proof of application as accepted by the facility.
Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
Strong patient-care and communication skills.
Ability to work evenings, take call, and meet weekend and holiday scheduling requirements.
Must have reliable personal transportation and their own vehicle.
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Meditech Expanse.
Current radiology and mammography continuing education, as applicable to the candidate's credentials and responsibilities.
Schedule and Call Requirements
Evening shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM.
Five 8-hour shifts per week.
Every other weekend.
Approximately 3 on-call shifts per month.
Holiday coverage may be required.
Candidates must be willing to take call and work required holiday periods.
