Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (ED)

Location: Springfield, Vermont
Facility: Springfield Hospital
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts | 36 hours guaranteed per week
Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend; holidays as needed
Local Candidates: Not eligible (must reside outside a 50-mile radius)

Job Summary

Springfield Hospital is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have recent hospital-based ED experience and the ability to provide safe, effective nursing care in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Springfield Hospital's Emergency Department operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, serving approximately 14,000 patient visits annually. The hospital is a 25-bed critical access facility offering emergency care, surgical services, inpatient and outpatient programs, and a range of specialty services.

Responsibilities
Assess, triage, and monitor patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
Provide nursing care for patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and emergencies.
Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and established protocols.
Recognize changes in patient conditions and respond appropriately.
Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Maintain accurate patient documentation and follow hospital policies and safety standards.
Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled.

Required Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience in a hospital setting.
Active Vermont RN license or eligible compact RN license.
Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
Active AHA ACLS certification.
Active AHA PALS certification.
Active Trauma Nursing CoreCourse (TNCC) certification.
All required certifications and license documentation must be available at submission.
Must have a personal vehicle.
Must reside outside the facility's 50-mile local radius.
