Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) | General Surgery
Glens Falls Hospital | Glens Falls, NY | 13 Weeks | Afternoon Shift
Seeking an experienced CST to support the Operating Room team with general and specialty surgical procedures.
Position Highlights:
- Shift: 12:30 PM – 11:00 PM, four days per week.
- Wednesday off each week.
- Flexible to day shifts if needed.
- No weekend requirements; on-call approximately once per month if needed.
- Cerner EMR.
- Previous travel experience highly preferred.
Key Duties:
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields, instruments, and surgical equipment.
- Assist surgeons during general, orthopedic fracture, vascular, and urology procedures.
- Anticipate surgical needs and ensure instruments are available.
- Maintain sterile technique and follow infection-control protocols.
- Complete surgical counts and support patient safety throughout procedures.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in general surgery, orthopedic fracture care, vascular, and urology procedures.
- Current BLS certification required.
- NBSTSA certification required.
- Updated work history and specialty-specific skills checklist.
- One supervisory reference from within the past two years of employment.
- Completion of the hospital’s OR orientation required.
