Join Vail Valley Medical Center’s Surgical Services team at a 56-bed, Level III trauma facility near Vail Mountain. Seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist with strong orthopedic and total joint replacement experience.
Position Highlights:
- Rotating shifts
- Travel candidates only; 70-mile radius rule applies
- Manager interview required
- All time-off and schedule requests must be submitted upfront
Key Duties:
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field, instruments, and surgical equipment.
- Assist surgeons during orthopedic, general, GYN, spine, and trauma procedures.
- Support total joint replacements involving hips, knees, and shoulders.
- Assist with procedures using the da Vinci Xi robotic surgical system.
- Maintain sterile technique and support patient safety throughout surgery.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience in an inpatient or acute care facility.
- Colorado Surgical Technologist license through DORA required.
- BLS certification required.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred, but not required.
- Strong orthopedic experience required.
- Must have total joint replacement experience (hips, knees, and shoulders).
- Experience with da Vinci Xi, general surgery, GYN, spine, and trauma required.
