Description
Samaritan Medical Center is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week night shift assignment in Watertown, New York. This opportunity is ideal for a sonographer with strong vascular and obstetrical ultrasound experience who is comfortable working independently in a hospital setting.
The Ultrasound Technologist will perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations, producing high-quality images to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The role requires proficiency in sonography equipment, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to provide compassionate patient care during overnight hours.
Schedule:
• Night Shift – Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday
• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week
• 13-Week Assignment
• Start Date: July 6, 2026
Requirements:
• ARDMS Registration Required
• Current BLS Certification
• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology or Medical Sonography
• Minimum 1 Year of Imaging/Sonography Experience
• Vascular Ultrasound Experience Required
• Obstetrical Ultrasound Experience Required
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities:
• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to physician orders
• Conduct vascular and obstetrical imaging studies
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and documentation
• Provide patient education and support throughout procedures
• Maintain compliance with departmental and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to support patient care
