Occupational Therapist | Inpatient Behavioral Health
CHA Somerville Campus | Somerville, MA | 13 Weeks | 40 Hours/Week | Day Shift
Seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide evaluations and therapeutic interventions for pediatric and adolescent patients in inpatient behavioral health settings.
Position Highlights:
- Schedule: Primarily 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with some flexibility required.
- Possible Saturday coverage, with a weekday off in exchange.
- Coverage across various units.
- Local and travel candidates accepted; local candidates must reside within 50 miles.
- Travel experience preferred; first-time travelers may be considered with significant relevant experience.
Key Duties:
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations for patients ages 4–18.
- Provide individual treatments and therapeutic group sessions.
- Support patients with neurodevelopmental and psychiatric diagnoses.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.
- Develop and implement interventions that support patient functioning and treatment goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Active Massachusetts OT license required.
- Current AHA BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1–2 years of Occupational Therapist experience.
- Inpatient pediatric and mental health experience required.
- Two recent manager/supervisor references matching the specialty.
- Updated resume and specialty-specific skills checklist.
- Driver’s license address must match candidate demographics.
- Epic experience preferred.
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront.
