Respiratory Therapist | Respiratory Care

Seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide high-quality respiratory care in an acute-care hospital setting.

Position Highlights:

• Primarily 12-hour night shifts with some evening rotation
• Rotating weekends and holidays
• Every other major holiday required
• No block scheduling
• On-call required
• Floating required
• Epic preferred
• Meditech used for blood gas orders
• Local & travel candidates accepted
• 50-mile local traveler rule

Key Duties:

• Provide respiratory care to acute-care patients
• Perform airway and ventilator management
• Perform blood gas draws, analysis, and interpretation
• Provide intubation support and related respiratory procedures
• Monitor and respond to respiratory emergencies
• Operate independently during assigned shifts
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the multidisciplinary care team
• Follow patient safety, infection control, and respiratory care standards
• Float to other areas as required

**Requirements:**

✔ Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – REQUIRED
✔ NBRC credential – REQUIRED at submission
✔ Active Massachusetts RRT License – REQUIRED
✔ 1+ year of specialty experience – REQUIRED
✔ Acute-care experience – REQUIRED
✔ Airway & ventilator management experience – REQUIRED
✔ Blood gas draw, analysis & interpretation experience – REQUIRED
✔ Intubation experience – REQUIRED
✔ AHA BLS – REQUIRED
✔ 2 recent Manager/Supervisor references in matching specialty
✔ Specialty-specific skills checklist
✔ Current driver's license with address matching demographics
✔ Flu vaccination required during flu season
✔ NRP certification – Preferred
✔ Epic experience – Preferred
